the River Avoca at this meeting point. It was here that the renowned poet Thomas Moore penned his famous Irish Melody “The Meeting of the Waters”.
Greenan Farm Museum & Maze, Rathdrum
The farm museum presents exhibits going back over 200 years including a farmhouse restored to the period with a dairy kitchen and bedroom on display. The Celtic hedge maze stands on half an acre and is great fun for all ages. The solstice maze is a relaxing path maze for those who wish to make finding their way a little easier. Facilities include tea rooms, a new raised walkway through native woodlands, a full range of farm animals and a craft shop.
