Rathwood is a Multi-Award winning exclusive Centre, located at Rath, Tullow, Co. Carlow. It offers a fantastic family day out with Train Rides, Falconry and Birds of Prey Centre, Outdoor Children Playground, Forest Walks, Animal Park.
For the Whole Family: Full Size Train – Rathwood Express Train rides around Animal Park and down through the Forest. The Train departs on weekdays at 1.30pm and 3.30pm, and on Sunday at 1.30pm, 3pm and 4pm. Woodlands Falconry - an outdoor attraction with thirty Birds on display, from the little Owl weighing only 4oz right up to the large and majestic Golden Eagle. Opening Times: Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm Children's Play groundAnimal Park - The Animals include: goats, ducks, pet lambs, mini ponies, deers. Admission: FREE.Forest Walks – in the adjacent Forest where Irish native trees and wildlife can be seen. Take a stroll in Rath Forest with 2 trials through the 150 acre Forest - 1Km stroll to the Pond to feed the ducks and geese or 2.3Km walk through the Forest. Chocolate Garden of Ireland – a working chocolate and ice cream factory making fine handmade luxury chocolates and organic ice cream, located just next door to Rathwood.
